On the 1st of January 2010 I started a daily photo blog on Posterous called What I Wore Today. It was simple enough, just a photo each day of whatever I happened to be wearing. It was a New Year’s resolution basically, to encourage me to wear more of my rather extensive wardrobe and to document it all. I owned *a lot* of clothes, but wore the same outfits all the time…like most women, essentially.
I completed the entire year without missing a post and ended up becoming Vodafone VIP’s official blogger for London Fashion Week and becoming an MSN Life & Style contributor. Which was nice :)
You can see from my fancy pants graphic above that little ol’ me and this little ol’ blog have got about a bit, but my favourite piece of media coverage to date has to be this luverly piece in The Observer.
I could have stopped at the end of 2010, I’d completed the New Year’s resolution, but I decided to carry on. I spend a fair bit of time regretting that decision, usually when I am in a dressing gown staring at three stuffed wardrobes whilst declaring that “I HAVE NO CLOTHES”, but I still enjoy it really.
2011 has been suitably awesome so far, I’ve worked with some huuuuuge global brands, some teeny tiny lovely brands, had some fab media coverage, interviewed some of my favourite slebs (JENSON BUTTON SAID I LOOKED HOT) and I’ll continue to report from London Fashion Week later in the year as well as being all set for fashion reporting from the Royal Wedding and this summer’s top music festivals. I’ve also been busying myself by collaborating with Mango on a wonderful bloggers project.
There are some exciting plans for this site later in the year, but I’m not going to say more than that now. I know, I know…fabulously uncool. I’VE GOT A SECRET NER NER NER NER. Etc.
As for who I am…I’m Poppy Dinsey – a 24 year old living in Surrey, spending far too much money on t-shirts, eating far too many burritos and wishing I was married to Dustin Hoffman.
You’ll find a lot more juicy gossip in the FAQ section, or if you wanna know more just go ahead and email me.
